WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute supported two productions created for family audiences with over 4 m PLN / 1 m EUR in the first funding session of 2017.

WARSAW: The Locarno IFF Best Actor-winning film Last Family by Jan P. Matuszyński will premiere in Sweden on 12 April 2017.

WARSAW:  The Polish film Art of Love directed by Maria Sadowska reached 4th place during its opening weekend in the UK and Ireland, and took 11th place in the overall box office.

WARSAW: The Polish-German Film Fund supported three films with a total of 240,000 EUR for project development and production.

WARSAW: Agnieszka Holland's drama Spoor opened in Slovak cinemas on 6 April distributed by Asociácia Slovenských Filmových Klubov.

WARSAW: The minority international coproduction funding scheme created by the Polish Film Institute will give support totalling over 3.9 m PLN / 920,901 EUR to eight international projects.

WARSAW: United States of Love by writer/director Tomasz Wasilewski will be released in France by Sophie Dulac Distribution on 5 April 2017. The film was awarded a Silver Bear for best script at the 2016 Berlinale.

WARSAW: Anne Fontaine’s drama Agnus Dei will be released under the title Süütud by Menufilmid in Estonia on 31 March 2017.

WARSAW: Bartłomiej Ignaciuk is currently shooting for TVN his debut feature, the romantic comedy Tax on Love. The premiere is planned for the beginning of 2018.

WARSAW: Michalina Wisłocka’s biopic Art of Love, which is currently number one in the general box office in Poland with more than 1.72 admissions, will be released in the UK and Ireland by Odeon on 31 March 2017.
