Kiral is best known from his 1980’s films, including A Season in Hakkari which received the Silver Bear at the 1983 Berlinale.

Filming took place in the Zonguldak mines, located on the Black Sea. The film is based on the true story of a man who kills someone and hides in the mines.

The cast is led by Nadir Saribacak, the actor who played the leading role in Wrong Rosary, and Tulin Ozen, the actress who had the leading role in Semih Kaplanoglu’s Angel’s Fall,. The editor is Mustafa Preseva, a leading figure in this profession in Turkey for many years.
