Ivan Ostrochovský’s Debut Feature Koza Nominated for the Best First Feature Award at the Berlin Film Festival
Slovakia 21-01-2015BRATISLAVA: One year after Velvet Terrorists, Ivan Ostrochovský returns to Berlinale (5-15 February 2015) with his debut feature Koza (www.kozamovie.com) nominated for the Best First Feature Award of the Forum section.
BRATISLAVA: The Slovak Audiovisual Fund awarded 1.704m EUR to 39 films out of 82 applications requesting over 3.8m EUR in funding.
BRATISLAVA: Peter Kerekes Film production company, represented by producer/director Peter Kerekes (Cooking History, Velvet Terrorists), is developing the documentary Censors, which recieved a grant of 25,000 EUR from the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme.
BRATISLAVA: Fool Moon production company, represented by producer/director Katarína Kerekesová (Stones, Mimi and Lisa), received a grant of 60,000 EUR from the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme for a 13 episode 3D animation series Websters, which shows the world from the four-eyed point of view a spider.
BRATISLAVA: Four of the five Slovak films applying to the second call for proposals of the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme will receive development grants, making it the most successful session ever for Slovak films.
