BRATISLAVA: Nobody Likes Me / Nikto ma nemá rád by Czech directors Tomáš Weinreb and Petr Kazda is in preproduction. The drama is produced by the Slovak company Arytmia Film and the Czech company Black Balance and coproduced by Arizona Productions (France) and Bord Cadre Films (Switzerland).
BRATISLAVA: Slovakia allowed the reopening of cinemas at half-capacity as of 16 November 2020. However, the Cinema Operators Association and the Slovak Union of Film Distributors point out that the reopening of cinemas in this situation may financially damage many private cinema operators.

BRATISLAVA: The historical drama The Report / Správa directed by the acclaimed Slovak director Peter Bebjak is going to be released in the USA by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Zora Jaurová is participating in the 2020 Emerging Producers programme of the Ji-hlava International Documentary Film Festival, which runs 27 October - 8 November 2020.
BRATISLAVA: Slovak producer/director Rasťo Boroš starts postproduction on his second feature Strawmen Scare No Crows / Čierne na bielom koni.
BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Jonáš Karásek’s second feature film Amnesty / Amnestie, focusing on the turbulent period around and right after the Velvet Revolution, is screening during the Slovak Film Week, running 20 – 26 October 2020. The film won six awards at the Slovak national Sun in a Net Awards.
BRATISLAVA: Loli Paradicka, a tragicomedy by Slovak novelist/scriptwriter Vito Staviarsky along with his sons, director Richard Staviarsky and editor Juraj Staviarsky, and daughter, producer Marka Staviarska, is screening during the Slovak Film Week, running 20 – 26 October 2020.
BRATISLAVA: The 6th Slovak Film Week, the showcase of domestic production, will take place this year in a reduced online form on 20-26 October 2020. Selected films will also be screened at the Lumiere cinema's online platform until 10 November.
