BELGRADE: Shooting on the feature film and TV series Bad Blood / Nečista krv based on the 1910 novel of famous classic Serbian writer Bora Stanković is scheduled to start in the summer of 2020. Both projects are produced by Serbia’s This and That Productions, which is currently looking for international coproducers, as Bad Blood will be one of the most expensive productions in the region.

BELGRADE: Four of the third season’s episodes of the CBS TV series SEAL Team directed by Christopher Chulack and starring David Boreanaz are currently shooting in Belgrade and its surroundings, two of which actually take place in the Serbian capital. Balkanic Media is servicing.

BELGRADE: Serbian writer/director Marina Radmilac is currently in postproduction with her debut feature Operation Opera /  Operacija Opera, in which one of the key roles is played by well-known French actor Denis Lavant. The film is a Serbian/Slovenian coproduction.

BELGRADE: Strahinja Savić is in production with Kreka, a documentary about the prominent Serbian production designer Miljen Klljaković Kreka. The doc features Johnny Depp, Barry Levinson, Vittorio Storaro, Emir Kusturica, Majid Majidi, Brian Helgeland, Slobodan Šijan, Goran Paskaljević, Goran Marković and Srđan Karanović, among others.

BELGRADE: Serbia has been nominated at the 6th edition of Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) Awards in the Outstanding Locations in a Commercial category, while Paweł Pawlikowski’s Cold War has been nominated in the Outstanding Location in a Period Film category. The award ceremony will be held in Santa Monica, USA on 21 September 2019.

BELGRADE: The Government of the Republic of Serbia has accepted Boban Jevtić's resignation and appointed Gordan Matić as the new director of Film Centre Serbia.

BELGRADE: After thorough preparations, the Accord on Cinematographical Coproduction between the Republic  of France and the Republic of Serbia was officially signed during Emmanuel Macron’s recent formal visit to Belgrade on 15 July 2019.

BELGRADE: Film Center Serbia allocated 467,381 EUR / 55 m RSD in this round of its minority coproduction grants to nine feature films, one long documentary and one short fiction film.

BELGRADE: Oleg Novković has wrapped shooting of his sixth feature Living Man / Živ čovek and is now in postproduction. This film, supported by Film Center Serbia, Germany’s MDM Fund and the Bulgarian National Film Centre, is a Serbian/German/Bulgarian coproduction.

BELGRADE: Serbia has become the newest member of RE-ACT, the five-year-old Italian/Slovenian/Croatian regional audiovisual cooperation and training initiative.
